Hello Everyone!
I have to disagree with Laura. I think our graduating class of '64 was over 1,000. Can anyone verify the number?
What a walk down memory lane. Just reading through the names of the many people who have left messages has been quite an emotional experience. It's very interesting to see where our lives have taken us.
My story isn't much different from the ones I read. I haven't moved too far from Lakewood. I 've lived in Ventura County for 22 years. Four months ago I retired after working 30 years as an engineer at Caltrans. I lost my husband of 21 years about 1 1/2 years ago. I'm keeping very busy with my grand kids, church, quilting, travels, and gardening. Life is good!
I doubt that I'll get to the 45th reunion but you can count on seeing me at our 50th.
Take care, Sue Burcombe

Hi fellow Lancers...Yes I was a Graduate of LHS and I am overwhelmed at all the responses that I have just finally read? I cannot believe that we were the BIGGEST CLASS IN THE WORLD to have about 900 STUDENTS GRADUATED on that GREAT DAY in JUNE OF 1964. I will never forget that wonderful day. It was the BEST that I remember. Now I am a Mom, and Wife of TWO SONS, who are so great to me. David, is my oldest, he is 37 years old, and Matthew is my youngest, he is 30 years old., and both are still living alliving at home. David is working as a Security Guard, and Matthew is working for a Car company and business in the Car business kinda slow now, but will pick up in the summertime. I am a HouseWife taking care of the home, and taking care of my Husband(John) who is a Diabetic and his feet swell up when he eats too much sweets. Thanks to Janice for all the great website I really do appreciate hearing from anyone that remembers me(lauranoser90703@yahoo.com) would like to hear from someone. YES I am attending the 45th Reunion in July 10th, with so much excitement to see all the great students of the past. YEAH LANCERS GO!

Facebook is great to see all of our friends we had so many years ago and to hopefully reconnect with them.
I still see Carolyn Moore and Margie McMillian from 63'. My sister, Sandy Lindell 63', is a retired school teacher who lives in Tujunga, Ca.
I have seven grandchildren and two sons who are 41 and 46 now.
Life is good, and I am very happy as so glad to have the honor of growing old.

Awesome site!! So nice to see names from the past. I'm thinking of going to the reunion with my sister Viviane. I have a feeling I won't recognize anyone but Viviane has a memory like a hawk...look out!!

Thx John, Janice,
Keeping the memories alive, keeping us all connected. Very recently a small group of old baseball guys met at Joe Jost's to visit with Artie Boyd. What a great pleasure that was for me. I hadn't seen Mr. Boyd since 1964. His memory is vivid and very much alive. Reviving the past is truly fun.

Hey everyone. I'm glad to see that so many people are posting comments in our guest book. However, if you don't give us your email address, we can't get hold of you. Please be sure to either post your email address or email me personally at janicesings@verizon.net and I will add you to our class of '64 database. Thanks. Janice Waller Schlieder

Great site to visit. As much as its enjoyable and interesting to discover how some of our lives have played out, it's very sad to see friends who passed away. I went through elementary, jr high and high school with Claudia and Fred. I often think of Harold, Dennis and Ron.
I hope the years have been kind and prosperous to my class mates. Seems like Lakewood High was a life time ago, but the memories remain like it was yesterday.
Does anyone remember the bands who played at the Canteen? I playedn many of them.
I retired last year, enjoying life, I have two sons and two grand kids.
