He is the triple amputee who came home, was appointed Head of the Veterans Affairs by President Carter and made enormous changes to the VA. Then was elected Senator of Georgia for two terms. This picture was taken last year when he was on the Bill Maher Show. I was invited as a special guest and we all had dinner after the show.

John Rosique161 viewsThese are the toys that I had in my room in Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam. I only have the turntable and speakers today. I built the cabinet our of scrap 3/4" plywood. I also had a refrigerator in my room. I kept sodas for anyone willing to pay 15ยข for a soda. I did not always have it this good in Vietnam. My first three months were on an Army Base, Qui Nhon. The water was yellow and smelled bad. I had to sleep with my M16 and in a mosquito net.

Notice the Short timer's ribbon. The ribbon came from a liquor bottle that a friend of mine drank for me since I do not drink.
